Terms & Conditions

The vehicle is hired on condition that the hirer has read, fully understood and agreed to the Standard Terms and Conditions of Allen's Car Hire cc.

• All rental agreements are subject to a once-off contract fee of R95.
• All rates are inclusive of maintenance and oil.
• Fuel is for the hirer's account.
• During the Summer Season (01st October to 31st May), there is a minimum 3 Day rental policy.

Driver/Hirer

• The minimum driving age is 23 years old and the driver must have held a driver's licence for more than four years.
• A current unendorsed driver's licence must be produced.
• The hirer is to be in possession of a valid credit card as payment must be made by credit card. All major credit cards are accepted.

Responsibility Waiver

• The Responsibility Waiver is compulsory.
• If the vehicle is driven by anyone other than a nominated driver, it will not be covered by the Responsibility Waiver and the hirer will then, in the event of any accidental damage, be held fully responsible.

Time/Distance

• Rental period is based on a 24 hour cycle.
• Rental / distance is calculated from our depot back to our depot.
• Rental beyond the initially agreed date of termination must be arranged.
• All speedometers are sealed - should this seal be broken or tampered with then a minimum of 500 kilometres per day will be charged.
• Vehicles are not permitted to cross the borders of South Africa without our written consent, and we must be advised should you wish to leave the Western Cape.
